Doing a lot of Nothing

Good day,
What to say of the tragedies these days, that’s all I’m going to say on that.

Right now, I’m going through a quiet time in my life. It seems that the more quiet time I receive the louder the world is becoming. For example, my journey currently calls for me to sit back and chill in God`s presence. Work on the inner and relax, but everyone around me has become extremely busy. I am the type to run around and move 120 mph. Yet, my pace now has slipped into neutral. Only moving when I feel a push.

It’s not easy sitting still and watching life move. I feel as if I am losing or missing out on life. But who knows where this may take me. God may be calling me for a greater journey soon, but if I don’t take the time and sit down I may run, or speed, right past it. Well, now that I have encouraged myself, I guess I should encourage you. Learn to do nothing and know that you are doing a lot. That sounds like an oxymoron, but in simple do a lot of nothing it may get you somewhere.

Blessed to be Different

God is ever present in my life right now. I don’t understand everything and I’ve still never heard his voice but I can say that I feel his presence. A recent tragedy has occurred at my job leaving people dumbfounded and nervous, yet I am okay. My coworkers are under fire for participating in things and doing things they should not have been doing. With everything that is happening I can only thank God because for His word of guidance, the Bible.
I think of the many nights I suffered with the feeling of loneliness and utter feelings of not belonging and then I look at the present and notice chaos that I avoided because I didn’t fit in. I would be embarrassed because I did not fit in an  do the things that my fellow coworkers did, and now I see why. God was protecting me from the consequences that followed their actions. I am not portraying that I am ms goody two shoes, but I am saying I follow majority of the rules and stay out of trouble as much as I can.
I thank God for his word and that I have the integrity to follow and walk in His will. I may not be perfect and make several mistakes, but it is all about the heart. I am so glad I follow a God of love, peace, forgiveness, and mercy. He is so great. Wonderful in all His ways. If you don’t know Him you should get to know Him.

Are Your Goals Set?

Excuse me for my absence, a lot has surfaced and I plead my apology. Check out  www.theunderground88.wordpress.com where some great ideas flow. Any who, it’s 2013! . Have you set your goals for 2013 yet?

In Habakkuk 2:2-3 it reads (Amplified Bible version) “And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.”

Although, we are not to be anxious for tomorrow, we can, however, plan for tomorrow. Goals, whether long term or short, can help improve your confidence and give you a plan for the year. I found my goals from last year and I exceedingly accomplished every one. It made me proud. I must be honest, I have been having trouble trying to set goals this year. I even thought about not setting goals since this year did not pan out how I had planned. BUT I decided come up with a few goals for the year. To name a few: working out 5 times a week, pay off some debt, give more, seek God more. Those are a few of my goals. After I wrote a few goals down I felt like I had new purpose. Even though my plans were not accomplished this year, I must look to the new year for better. God closes doors for reasons and all we must do in the mean time is work on us, He will guide our paths where they need to go. So stop worrying about the things around you and focus on the things inside of you! God will work out the rest.

Have you set your goals yet? I challenge you to write your vision of how you want this year to go. Whether its little things like eating less sugary foods (one of mine) or big things like becoming partner in your company. Set goals, write your vision and make it plain! Then earnestly look to God to be made anew.
